WE’RE SERVING UP A FEAST OF FESTIVAL ENTERTAINMENT
The Great Wight Bite is delighted to present a feast of entertainment across the weekend. We welcome the island’s leading chefs, producers and pop-up food traders plus, a few special street food guests from along the south coast.
Our festival bars will be brimming with craft ales, expertly crafted spirits and award-winning wines. Maybe we can tempt you with a spot of retail therapy too?
And it wouldn’t be a festival without some great live music!
Food & Drink
We’ll be serving up the best food and drink the island has to offer plus a few guests from across the south coast. From street food to fine dining pop ups we’re championing the islands incredible producers.
Chefs demo stage
Home to the island’s most exciting and talented chefs who’ll be championing local produce. Sit back and learn a few tips and tricks. Hosted by award-winning presenter and food expert Chris Bavin and joined by foodie Valentine Warner & drinks expert Helena Nicklin, expect plenty of fun and games!

Calling all ‘Chefs’…Young or old! Are you a budding home cook, passionate baker or sushi master in the making?
With five classes on Sat and four on Sun, its a brilliant an opportunity to inspire and spark your child’s imagination & confidence in the kitchen, as well as offer them a chance to hang out (& even take a few selfies!) with TV foodie Chris Bavin. New for 2024 book one of our new adults classes; Sushi masterclass with GC from The Smoking Lobster or our Canapes and spririts Masterclass a collaboration between Mermaid and The Epicurean Sailor
The Masterclass Stage
Meet the producers in our Masterclass Stage. Whether it’s nailing the perfect canapes, finding out where our food comes from or learning how to blend the perfect cocktails from the islands best artisan food and drink producers.
We’ll have a cracking schedule of food and drink chats to enjoy and am sure plenty of tasters to go round.
Join Tom Fahey from The Terrace Ventnor at 1.30pm each day
An hour long journey on how food transforms wine and wine transforms food.
In this session Top 20 UK sommelier & chef Tom Fahey of the Terrace Rooms & Wine will serve five wines alongside five canapes that demonstrate how wine can act as a seasoning for food, how food can extend the flavour & taste range of a wine and how food can neutralise tannin to make wine smother & more delicious.
House Cowes Pop Up Restaurant
If you prefer a little more refinement then our festival pop up restaurant is the place for you.
We are delighted to be teaming up with The House in Cowes who will be bringing us a feast over fire featuring Big Green Egg! With talented Head Chef Matt Egan’s commitment to using only the finest local ingredients we know we are in for a treat! Even better… get a complimentary carafe of Ultimate Provence Rose with every pre-booking!

Stallholders
Expect over 70 stands selling pretty much every foodie delight you can imagine, as we bring together the Island’s best artisan food and drink producers and welcome some incredible street food guests from the island and further afield.
It’s not all about the food. We’ll welcome a whole host of artisan craft businesses for that all important spot of retail therapy.
Great Live Music
It wouldn’t be a festival without some great live music. We’ll be welcoming some of the island’s best artists and bands for that perfect festival vibe. Headlining Saturday evening at 7pm we are delighted to brilliant tribute band Ultimate Elton.
So grab a hay bale and something to drink, and sit back to a selection of soul, blues, country, folk and of course a few pop and rock classics!
Northwood House
This stunning little Georgian manor house knows how to celebrate. Home to the IOW Proms, lavish weddings and pop up events across the summer.
Dating back to 1793 and steeped in history, Northwood House is now a charitable trust supported by a team of incredible volunteers who help look after the house, gardens and raise vital funds to keep the house in all it’s splendour.
